Sanction of the first post-memorandum budget

from | 21 Dec 2018 | News

December 18, 2018 is a benchmark for the political affairs of the country, as the first regular post-memorandum budget was voted in favor, with 154 votes in favor and 143 against. It was a roll-call vote in which the elected parliamentary body participated almost entirely, with 297 MPs present.

Through the Bosch Dicentis Multimedia devices and using the electronic voting software from iBS, the simultaneous and fast connection of 297 deputies was achieved. The challenge was great because of the importance of the parliamentary process. The iBS team, worked hard to complete the second version of the Hellenic Parliament's e-voting software on time. In addition, we undertook the technical coverage and technical supervision for the voting. The results of the electronic voting were displayed on the central screen of the Parliament, immediately after the completion of the voting of the articles.

We hope that the first post-memorandum budget, along with the successful example of electronic voting in the Hellenic Parliament, will be a good omen for the modernization of the public sector. In the example of the Hellenic Parliament, where the adoption of high-tech systems with the close cooperation of the visual and public sectors shows that complex IT projects are feasible to complete in the predicted time, at the predicted cost and most importantly to be a reference point of successful installations either for us or for the manufacturer – Bosch.

The iBS team feels the need to thank all the decision-makers who played a role in the effective implementation of the project and hopes for similar successful future collaborations.
