"Doll Play" is an artistic educational online program and a pan-Hellenic puppet theater competition. It was created as an open and innovative way of presenting dolls to young and old.
An innovative and creative classroom process involving step-by-step learning and teaching to build and animate a puppet and then inspire and create a puppet show. According to the implementation needs we had to integrate a multi-functionality for the registration and management of visitors and associate them with the needs of performing electronic voting. To implement the desired functionality on the new website, we used our experience with WordPress by customizing Elegant Themes' DIVI theme.
Additionally, we have properly configured the ELVOTE e-voting solution for WordPress to ensure the uniqueness of each vote, as well as user authentication.
Without any functional delay it was possible for more than 1.000 participants, from Greece and abroad, to connect, watch the posted videos and vote for their favorites. The acceptance by the public, the assurance of good operation during peak hours as well as the successful activation of security mechanisms whenever needed, contributed to the successful conduct of the electronic voting of the competition.
In addition, we integrated all the necessary functions in the new WordPress site so that the administrator can customize it as he wishes, either in terms of appearance or content.
