The devices Bosch Dicentis Multimedia come with the pre-installed operating system: Android 4.0.3 – March 2012 – API level 15. Due to the specificity of the devices and their characteristics (Microphone, Magnetic Card, Multimedia Applications, etc.) it was not possible to use a device simulator (emulator) of Android, to verify and test the operation of the applications designed and implemented by the iBS team.
The innovation of DICENTIS IP devices redefines the technology platform to meet the meeting needs of tomorrow. Bosch network devices are innovative because they are not only limited to ready-to-use applications such as those of Speaker Recording and Electronic Voting, but at the same time they can accept a multitude of new software applications. The aim of iBS was to create a final result that would combine ease of use and efficiency. For this reason, all the iBS team is very pleased with the opportunity to program on Dicentis Multimedia devices.
For its implementation electronic voting for the Hellenic Parliament and of the Municipality of Athens, we used the software tools available from Bosch. The foresight of Bosch was such that it actually helped us and led us to the successful outcome of the implementation of an electronic voting application in the Greek language, according to the special needs and technical specifications of the Hellenic Parliament and the Municipality of Athens.
With the above technologies we managed to adapt what will be displayed on the Bosch Dicentis Multimedia screens according to our customer's needs. THE Electronic Voting and Speaker Registration software application #DicentisVotingApplication, is to date the only e-voting application for parliaments, municipalities and congresses that takes full advantage of the state-of-the-art technology of Bosch Dicentis Multimedia.
